SAISD INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP PURPOSE STATEMENT

Instructional leaders are committed to the core business of teaching and learning.  Instructional coaches demonstrate instructional leadership through improving the quality of instruction and increasing student achievement.  SAISD Instructional Coaches provide focused, job-embedded professional learning through collaboration with teachers using a student-centered coaching model.   This handbook guides coaches in the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that SAISD expects all coaches to have and provides tools, resources and an entry point for the district’s coaching model.
